2011 Statewide MBE Public Policy Day

Nebula Company participated in the 2011 Statewide MBE Public Policy Day event at the Texas State Capital. We were happy to join representatives from the DFW Airport, K Strategies and the Dallas Fort Worth MSDC. The event focused on meeting with State public officials to promote policies pertinent to the meaningful and sustainable inclusion of MBEs in contracting and other procurement opportunities statewide.

The day started with briefings by elected officials and staff on issues of importance during the 82nd Texas legislative session. This was followed by the participants attending committee meetings and visits to elected officials' offices. Midday, lunch was shared with Texas Comptroller Susan Combs. The remainder of the day was spent meeting with more elected officials.
